Food Bank

Food Bank

St James Church has been running a food bank for many years, but in 2018 the food bank moved to Cornerstone, where it still operates. The food bank is available during our regular opening hours. Food parcels are seen as emergency support, we therefore limit one food parcel a fortnight and a maximum of 4 in a rolling 12 month period. To request a food parcel for yourself or someone you know please get in touch with us – 01228 549796.

We also provide a space for quiet reflection and prayer offering two led meditations (10:10am and 12:45pm) which are optional.

We run CAP Money Course (budgeting course) every now and again. The course takes place over 3 x 2 hour sessions. The course consists of videos, work book activities and some group discussions. Its very informal and free drinks are provided to those who attend.  Those who have attended this course have found it incredibly useful helping them to budget so they can start saving for the future. To find out when the next course is running please visit capuk.org.
